of the Middle East The Crescent Dancers’ 35th Anniversary
April 9, 2010 Featuring The Crescent Dancers and guest troupes: * Sahibat * Hipnotiq * Raks the Casbah * In 1975, the Crescent Dancers formed the first and, at the time, only Middle Eastern dance troupe in the Pioneer Valley. 3 1/2 decades and many wonderful experiences later, our community is filled with dance sisters of all ages and ideas, several professional troupes, and a huge variety of creative activity and sharing. Back then we never imagined what richness and diversity of Middle Eastern dance would come to be right in our own back yard. To help celebrate our 35th anniversary, several guest troupes will be joining us in showcasing the variety and energy of the thriving dance community that has grown up in the Pioneer Valley of Western Massachusetts.
